- The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office shared a video of Deputy Addison Bass jumping inside a hole at a construction site in the Carmichael Farms subdivision and saving a little fawn. According to a caller, the fawn had been trapped in the hole for days. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
- On the night of Aug. 3, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office assisted in arresting 35-year-old Lynsey Foster, of Floyd County. Foster led a high-speed chase into Cherokee County around 9:35 p.m. and was arrested after the vehicle hit spike strips. She was booked at the Cherokee County Detention Center on the charges of Attempting to Elude and was released on Aug. 4. (WEIS Radio)
- The Northside Hospital announced multiple network updates, including one at the Canton location, at 460 Northside Cherokee Boulevard. On Aug. 10, Dr. Harish Madala, a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist, will start seeing patients at Atlanta Cancer Center in Canton. (Northside)
- The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office will be getting 30 new police vehicles. Cherokee County will purchase the vehicles. (Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News)
