  1. On Monday, Jul. 11, a 15-year-old girl was hospitalized after suffering serious injuries from a hit-and-run by a box truck on Bells Ferry Road. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Department is asking the public to call 470-281-8032 with any information about the incident. The department released a picture of the suspected white box truck.   3. Eight Cherokee County School District students earned cybersecurity scholarships through a national career skills competition. Two of the CCSD students, class of 2022 graduates Brandon Aumick and Wesley Walker, scored in the top 20 in Georgia and earned $500 awards and additional scholarship opportunities from the National Cyber Scholarship Foundation.   4. On Thursday, Jul. 14, the Hickory Flat Public Library will host a "Storytime In The Park" at J.B. Owens Park, located at 2749 Hickory Road. From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., all ages are invited to a fun-filled time of stories, rhymes, dancing, and a craft to take home. Registration is not required, participants are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. (Library Calendar)
  5. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is looking for 52-year-old Mark Stubblefield from Woodstock. Stubblefield is wanted for public indecency for allegedly exposing himself in public. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office asks anyone who knows Stubblefield's whereabouts to call the office. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
