Sixes Teacher Arrested On Theft, Burglary Charges: School Officials
The Sixes Elementary kindergarten teacher was placed on administrative leave after facing theft and burglary charges.
CANTON, GA — A Sixes Elementary School teacher who was recently arrested was accused of burglary and theft, Cherokee County school officials said in a letter sent to families on Sunday.
School officials said Sarah Gorman was arrested in incidents unrelated to the school system. A staff directory for Sixes listed Gorman as a kindergarten teacher.
Gorman was placed on administrative leave pending internal and law-enforcement probes, school officials said.

"Maintaining the safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority, and inappropriate conduct will never be tolerated," school officials said in the letter.
No other details regarding Gorman's arrest were released.
