2 Accused Of 'Skipping' Items At Walmart Self-Checkout Counter
The actions by the two subjects resulted in the store losing more than $500 in merchandise, according to a sheriff's office incident report.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is looking for two shoppers accused of not scanning items at the self-checkout counter at Walmart, costing the store more than $400 in merchandise.
A deputy with the agency met with an employee at the store at 101 Market Place Boulevard around 3 p.m. Jan. 16. That employee said a man and woman "have been skipping items at (the) self-checkout counter," causing the store to lose hundreds of dollars in merchandise.
According to an incident report released the agency, the pair skipped 13 items on Sunday, Dec. 16, depriving the store of about $145.89. On Sunday, Dec. 30, they skipped eight items, thus taking $84.18 from the store. The two are also accused of skipping 34 items at the self-checkout line on Sunday, Jan. 13, which cost Walmart about $326.45.

Some items allegedly taken by the shoppers include DayQuil liquid tablets, a pair of men's sandals, household cleaning items, laundry detergent, cheese, beef, seafood, chicken, fruit, bacon and a thermal liner.

The Walmart employee could not obtain a license plate for the vehicle the pair arrived and departed in, a screenshot provided indicates the car was a dark blue Chevrolet Suburban with a "for sale" sign on the rear window on the driver's side. The report describes the subjects as a black man and woman, but no other physical characteristics were provided.
