• Man accused of threatening to shoot up Atlanta airport terminal to receive psychiatric exam (11alive.com) — A Cartersville man accused of planning a shooting at Atlanta’s airport has been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation as his attorneys pursue an insanity defense. Cartersville Police, alerted by his wife and a witness, warned Atlanta officers, who arrested him before any violence occurred. The case now moves toward pretrial motions early next year.
