ROCKMART, GA — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has released the identities of the four people who police say were killed Thursday evening in Rockmart by a man wanted in connection to the quadruple homicide. Authorities continue to look for Daylon Delon Gamble, 27, who is wanted on four counts of murder in connection to the grisly discoveries made around 8:01 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24.
Rockmart police were called to investigate the two double-fatal shootings in the 500 block of Williamson Street and the 300 block of Rome Street. Rockmart police were assisted in their efforts by three GBI regional offices, the Polk County, Cedartown and Cartersville police departments, Bartow County Sheriff's Office and the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force.
The two victims who died in the William Street shootings were 48-year-old Helen Rose Mitchell and Jaequnn Davis, 19. A 24-year-old person, Peerless Brown, was also shot, but was transported to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment. The Rome Street victims have been identified as 24-year-old Arkeyla Perry, and Dadrian Cummings, 26. GBI spokesperson Nelly Miles said Gamble "was friends" with Davis and Cummings, but all the victims knew him.
