Crye-Leike’s 2012 United Way Campaign Collects $22,300

For the past 35 years, Crye-Leike Realtors have been proud to assist home buyers and sellers with all of their real estate needs while also taking some time to give back to their communities and lend a helping hand to their neighbors in need.

In each of the nine states the company serves, Crye-Leike’s branch offices and Realtors enjoy hosting various creative fundraisers to help the folks in their community who need it most. Whether the offices organize a coat drive for the homeless or a chili cook-off fundraiser, the Realtors enjoy choosing different charities to support in their local community.

In addition to all of the office charity events the company’s Realtors host, Crye-Leike holds an annual United Way Campaign to collect money for various charitable organizations supported by United Way.

Crye-Leike Realtors rallied together to help the company’s 2012 United Way campaign raise $22,300 for local charities in the counties Crye-Leike serves.

β€œOur 2012 United Way campaign was another great success,” said Crye-Leike Cofounder and CEO Harold Crye. β€œCrye-Leike is thankful to have so many generous agents and employees who are excited to be Good Samaritans in their community helping their neighbors in need.”

This year, Crye-Leike was excited to take their United Way campaign in a new direction giving their agents and employees a chance to donate online with a campaign website built especially for the company associates. Crye-Leike also encouraged its agents to visit United Way’s website and type in their zip code to see all of the wonderful ways the organization supports their local community.

Β β€œWe wanted Crye-Leike associates to see all of the success stories their local United Way has so they would know exactly what their personal pledges would do to support the organization and the community,” said Crye-Leike Public Relations Manager Melissa Spoonamore. β€œUnited Way partners with and assists a diverse range of charities that help people in the community in several ways including providing food and shelter, counseling families and people with problems especially in times of crisis, providing services to working parents, helping and preparing kids to succeed and face life’s challenges, providing care to seniors helping them remain independent and so much more. Crye-Leike is glad to know that United Way multiplies the value of our personal monetary gifts by joining it with other donations to have a greater impact on the crucial issues facing the local communities.”

In order to jumpstart its annual United Way campaign, Crye-Leike also organized a pumpkin decorating contest this fall where agents and employees gathered up their arts and crafts supplies and carving tools to decorate a pumpkin for a good cause. Crye-Leike’s pumpkin decorating contest collected $400 for United Way and was a fun event to kick off the company’s 2012 personal pledge campaign for United Way.

β€œCrye-Leike cares about our communities and we proudly support many charitable organizations including United Way, Youth Villages, Habitat for Humanity and numerous other local charities in the counties we serve,” said Crye. β€œSince first opening the company doors in 1977, Crye-Leike Realtors have always been passionate about volunteering and fundraising for a variety of different charities near and dear to their hearts.”
