Bartow County Emergency Response Training For Citizens
It's important to know what to do in a disaster, should one ever occur. Emergency responders are teaching citizens what to do.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Bartow County Fire Department is offering a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program for citizens. The class provides basic training in safety and life-saving skills that may be needed in the case of an emergency.
The program is designed to train citizens to respond correctly in emergency situations, providing experience in such situations and confidence to do the right thing.
Developed through the Federal Emergency management Agency, the program is run by emergency personnel.

The training will run from 6 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 15, Oct. 17, Oct. 22 and Oct. 24, with a simulation drill on Nov. 2. All training dates must be attended to receive a certification.
