Bartow County Students Get Free Haircuts For First Day Of School
"We wanted to help the kids with one of their most important needs, which is a new haircut," Colette Arp of Chattahoochee Tech said.

Chattahoochee Tech cosmetology students and program graduates provided around 100 free haircuts for Bartow County children preparing for the new school year. The haircuts were provided through the Bartow Give a Kid a Chance event, Chattahoochee Technical College (CTC) said in a news release.
“We did probably close to 100 haircuts this year at this wonderful event,” Chattahoochee Tech cosmetology instructor Colette Arp, who noted that 15 Chattahoochee Tech Cosmetology students and five program graduates volunteered their skills and time. “We wanted to help the kids with one of their most important needs, which is a new haircut."
Arp has led the college’s volunteer efforts at this event for the past decade.
