Bartow History Museum Wants Your Pandemic Mementos For Collection

The Bartow History Museum is collecting mementos of the coronavirus pandemic for posterity. Here's how to contribute.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Want to share your experience of the coronavirus pandemic with future generations? The Bartow History Museum in Cartersville is offering a way to do that.

Museum director Trey Gaines announced on Tuesday the COVID-19 in Bartow County project, which would allow residents to share their stories and mementos from the pandemic, possibly for the museum’s permanent collection.

“All of us are experiencing a period in history that most of us just a few short weeks ago couldn’t even imagine,” Gaines said in the announcement. Among those experiences are shelter-in-place, work from home, digital learning and perhaps the loss of friends or loved ones.
