Bartow Schools Skyrocket In AP Exams, Scholars

An effort to bolster the school's AP programs seems to have worked.

BARTOW COUNTY, GA — Seventy-one Bartow County students earned AP Scholar Awards for demonstrating academic achievement well above their level. The group of students earned the prestigious honors with their "exemplary college-level achievement," according to a release from the county school system.

The district focused during the school year on AP programs, resulting in a 35 percent increase in students taking AP courses and a nearly 30 percent increase in AP exams taken compared to the 2017-2018 school year.

"Our students scored a 3 or higher on 61 more AP exams compared to 2018," said District AP Coordinator Paula Camp, the release says.
