Bartow Sheriff's Lieutenant Dies After Brain Cancer Battle
"He was an essential part of our office and his absence will be felt for years to come."

BARTOW COUNTY, GA — The Bartow County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday that retired Lieutenant Robert "Gunny" Moultrie died that morning after a long battle against brain cancer.
Moultrie served the community for over 20 years, the sheriff's office said in their Facebook post, and served the United States as a Marine.
"Gunny was known for his steadfastness, knowledge, skill, humor and most of all his caring heart," the Facebook post says.
