  1. Details for Cartersville's annual Fourth of July celebration, organized by the Rotary Club of Etowah and sponsored by Shottenkirk Honda, have just been announced this week. The festivities include a parade down Main Street, starting at 9:00 a.m. from the Tabernacle Baptist Church parking lot and ending back at the church. This year, the Grand Marshal leading the procession is Wes Durham, a renowned sportscaster known for his distinctive voice and 25 years of contribution to the Southeast region. (Coosa Valley News)
  2. A Highway 113 car accident led to local traffic disruptions on Wednesday morning and resulted in minor injuries. The incident occurred when a black Nissan Murano, traveling north near Highway 61, made an improper lane change, colliding with a Nissan Altima in the left lane. Following the accident, the driver of the Altima was taken by EMS to Floyd Medical Center for minor injuries. (WBHF Radio)
  3. The Cartersville School Foundation announced its second annual College Admission Workshop for rising juniors and seniors, happening on Jul. 20 at the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce. The workshop will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will cover everything students need to know about college admissions, scholarships, and more.
