  1. The city's annual Fourth of July parade, brought to the community by WBHF and the Rotary Club of Etowah, returns on Tuesday, Jul. 4. The festivities begin at 9:00 a.m. with a parade, starting at the Tabernacle parking lot. Following the parade, guests of all ages are invited to Dellinger Park from 3:00-10:00 p.m. for entertainment, activities, and (of course) fireworks. (City of Cartersville)
  2. The Cartersville-Bartow Chamber recently held its Project Purpose Graduation and Signing Day Ceremony. Project Purpose is a one-week workforce development training program for those who have recently graduated high school. During this past Friday's ceremony, six participants announced their commitment to continue working in Bartow County. (Cartersville-Bartow Chamber via Facebook)
  3. Cartersville student-athlete Kail Ellis has received an offer from the University of Georgia football team. The current Cass High School lineman confirmed the offer in a tweet on Jun. 20. As of Jun. 23, Ellis — slated to be the Class of 2026 — has not committed to the Georgia Bulldogs or any other school. (Yahoo! Sports)
