Cartersville Woman Charged in Taylor Smith's Death
The victim, daughter of a Holly Springs police lieutenant, is believed to have suffered an asthma attack.

A Cartersville woman is one of six people charged in connection with the death of Taylor Smith, the daughter of Holly Springs Police Lt. Tanya Smith.
Pickens County authorities say the body of Taylor Smith, 20, was found outside a trailer home earlier this month in Jasper, reported the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. While a toxicology report is still pending, investigators believe Smith suffered an asthma attack and her friends didn't seek help.
The group allegedly dumped Smith's body after they failed to revive her.
Darleen V. George, 51, of Cartersville, was charged with making false statements, possession of methamphetamine and reckless conduct in connection with Taylor's death, according to the Pickens County Sheriff's Office. She turned herself in yesterday.
