CARTERSVILLE, GA — A 21-year-old with meth in a stolen car led Cartersville police on a wild chase at speeds “over 120 miles per hour” before he was arrested, authorities said.

Bohanan was first spotted at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of a Citgo on West Avenue, driving a black Infiniti I35 that authorities say was stolen in Polk County. The subsequent police chase accelerated to speeds higher than 120 mph, WBHF reported.

After police caught Bohanan, he told them he was “attempting to eat his methamphetamine during the pursuit but spilled it on the floorboard,” according to the police report as related by WBHF. Police say they found suspected meth and a cut white pill in the car.
