Construction Begins On Cartersville Primary School

The Cartersville Primary School's 224,800-square-foot school building will be on a 33-acre campus on Carter Grove Road.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Cartersville City Schools broke ground on Jan. 14 on land that was gifted to the school district in 2005, beginning construction of a new Cartersville Primary School.

This new school will be a place of learning where the youngest Canes will begin their educational experience. When designing the new school, the district asked itself these questions:

  • What can we create that will transform the learners of today into the builders of tomorrow?
  • What will provide the most benefit to our community for generations to come?
  • How can we be good stewards of the resources entrusted to us?

Using the learning experiences of students as a guide, the district settled on a plan for the new facility.
