Cops: Man in Cartersville Park Wasn't Wearing Pants

A Bartow County Sheriff's Office deputy reports he spotted the Cartersville man after 2 a.m. at Hamilton Crossing Park.

An early-morning rendezvous at the park must have been a quick one for a Cartersville man who said he couldn't find his pants.

A Bartow County Sheriff's Office deputy on patrol Thursday shortly after 2 a.m. says he spotted a pantless Ronny Larry Brawner, 49, of Cartersville, walking away from a concession stand at the ballfields at Hamilton Crossing Park.

Acknowledging he wasn't wearing pants, Brawner allegedly said he was there meeting a woman, whom police did not find in the immediate area.

"He advised he had (met) up with a female...to have sex and when they heard my car she took off," the deputy reports. "He stated she grabbed his pants when she left so he just started walking towards the roadway."

While the stand's bathroom doors were locked, a closet containing equipment was not secured, according to the deputy, who then padlocked it.
