Cops Seize Methadone, Possible Fentanyl During Traffic Stop
Adairsville police seized the drugs after conducting a traffic stop Monday on a vehicle that had its registration suspended.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — A Gordon County man was charged with drug possession after police in Adairsville conducted a traffic stop on the driver's vehicle. An officer patrolling a neighborhood on Monday spotted a vehicle that had its registration suspended.
A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle driven by James Patrick Hubbard. Police learned Hubbard was "knowingly" operating the car on a suspended driver's license, the agency said. Cops also searched the vehicle and unearthed marijuana, methadone and items suspected to be fentanyl, Adairsville police state.
Hubbard, who lives in Gordon County town of Sugar Valley, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II substance, operating an unregistered vehicle, driving while license is suspended or revoked, drugs to be kept in original container and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

He was booked into the Bartow County Jail early Tuesday, and was released on a $6,530 bond.
