Emerson Man Killed in Single-Car Crash

He lost control of the vehicle in a curve on Old Alabama Road, and it struck a culvert and overturned, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

A Bartow County man died Sunday when his car left the roadway and overturned.

The crash happened about 1:30 a.m. when Dustin Lee Morgan in a curve lost control of his 2006 Chrysler, which was traveling westbound on Old Alabama Road, left the road, hit a culvert and overturned, coming to rest in the median, Georgia State Patrol officials told The Daily Tribune News.

Born in Cartersville, "Dusty" Morgan was 26 years old and engaged to be married, according to his obituary.
