Bartow History Museum Evening Lectures

July 28: Bryan McGovern, professor at Kennesaw State University, will discuss the history of the Irish people in the American south. 

Aug. 25: Rev. Scott W. Shepard, pastor of Brandon's Chapel Baptist Church, will discuss the life and ministry of Rev. Sam P. Jones of Cartersville.  The lecture will include how Sam Jones became America's leading evangelist of the late 1800's, being called "the most famous man in America" at the time of his death in 1906.

Sept. 29: Trey Gaines, Bartow History Museum Director, will take a closer look at the letters featured in the special exhibit, “In Their Own Words:  Letters and Stories from the Civil War.”
