The Bartow History Museum welcomes Mr. Wayne Minshew, former Braves reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and former director of Public Relations and Promotions for the Braves organization, who will discuss the Northwest Georgia Textile League.
Mr. Minshew grew up in the town of Shannon, GA, which had a team in the Northwest Georgia Textile League. This league was an avenue of great and important entertainment in the years following World War II and before television.
Parking is available next to the building. The lecture is free to members and included with the price of admission for not-yet members. Guests are invited to bring a lunch beginning at 11:45 a.m. and the program will begin at noon.
