Hikers and amateur astronomers are invited to join the Cartersville Parks and Recreation Department as they host this guided hike on Cartersville's Pine Mountain Trail to celebrate the first day of summer. The hike departs from the West Trailhead at I-75 Exit 288 east and embarks on a 1.57 mile hike to the David G. Archer Overlook at 1,562 feet above sea level for a stunning view of Allatoona Lake, the Etowah River Valley and the City of Cartersville. Hike may be canceled due to bad weather. Morning and Evening hikes will be held. Call ahead for departure times.
