Mort Kunstler, one of America's greatest historical artists, was commissioned by Rockwell International in the 1980s to develop a series of paintings documenting the Space Shuttle Program. The resulting six major paintings, as well as portraits and a preliminary sketch, are currently on loan to Tellus.
During the talk, he will describe his unique experiences, including attending the first launch and first touchdown.
The museum galleries will remain open on lecture nights until 9 p.m. Members admitted free; non-members free with the cost of museum admission.
