Curtis Author Pitts, 31, was found dead last week outside a subdivision in Butts County. Two men are charged with murder.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The community is coming together to assist the family of the Cartersville man whose body was found dumped last week outside a subdivision in Butts County. A GoFundMe page has been created to help pay for the funeral arrangements for Curtis Author Pitts, 31.
As of Monday afternoon, more than $1,320 has been raised towards the $10,000 goal. Arminda Sue Stalnaker, organizer of the campaign, said she is helping Pitts' sister plan for the victim's funeral. With Pitts' unexpected death, Stalnaker is asking the public to help donate funds "to give him a proper burial."
"I know there are so many that loved Curtis, and anything would help and be greatly appreciated in our time of grief," Stalnaker added.
