GDOT To Begin Resurfacing U.S. 41 In Bartow County
The Georgia Department of Transportation said the project is expected to wrap up by July 2019.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a $3.2 million contract to pave a portion of Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Bartow County. C.W. Matthews Contracting Company will resurface U.S. 41/Ga. 3 between Kingston Highway near Cartersville and Piedmont Avenue in Adairsville.
“Transportation projects like this one continue to positively influence the lives of the residents of northwest Georgia by helping improve mobility and enhancing safety,” said Grant Waldrop, district engineer at the Georgia DOT office in Cartersville.
GDOT notes the project should wrap up by the end of July 2019. Information on construction and lane closure schedules on this project will be forthcoming before work begins.
