GDOT To Resurface U.S. 41 In Cartersville

The project will resurface Joe Frank Harris Parkway from the city limits to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Work will soon begin on a project to resurface a portion of Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Cartersville. The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a $1.7 million contract to Northwest Georgia Paving, Inc. to perform the work on U.S. 41/Ga. 3.

The highway will be resurfaced from the city limits of Cartersville north to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, a 1.7-mile stretch of roadway.

“This project and others like it in Northwest Georgia add up to these two things – better mobility and better quality of life for all our area residents,” said Grant Waldrop, district engineer at the Georgia DOT office in Cartersville.
