Georgia State Patrol Collecting Toys For Tots Donations

All 52 State Patrol posts, including Post 3 in Cartersville, will serve as drop-off points from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — 2018 will mark the 10th year that the Georgia Department of Public Safety will join forces with the United States Marine Corps Reserve for the annual Toys for Tots program to collect new, unwrapped toys for less fortunate children during the Christmas season.

Col. Mark McDonough, DPS commissioner, said all 52 Georgia State Patrol posts and 19 Motor Carrier Compliance Division weigh stations across the state would serve as Toys for Tots collection points between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Additional collection sites are in the lobby at the Department of Public Safety headquarters in Atlanta and the Capitol Police Services office near the Georgia State Capitol Building. All donations will stay in the county in which they are given to help benefit local children.
