Hurricane Florence: Brewery Sending 300,000 Cans Of Water
Anheuser-Busch's brewery in Cartersville, Ga. will once again produce cans of drinking water to send to areas affected by the hurricane.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — Anheuser-Busch's Cartersville Brewery is once again stepping up to the plate and helping residents across the country facing natural disasters.
Anheuser-Busch has received a request from the American Red Cross for assistance in Hurricane Florence relief, and is sending 300,000 cans — or six truckloads — of emergency canned drinking water from its Cartersville Brewery.
The water is expected to arrive in affected communities in the days ahead, the company said. For more than 20 years, Anheuser-Busch has produced clean, safe canned drinking water at its Cartersville Brewery to be used by victims in natural disaster zones. This work was brought to life in Budweiser’s Super Bowl commercial this year.

When the commercial was launched, Anheuser-Busch announced a commitment to expand this capacity to produce emergency drinking water to include its Fort Collins Brewery in Colorado, following one of America’s worst ever years for natural disasters in 2017. Including the Fort Collins Brewery in its initiative will allow Anheuser-Busch to quickly deliver water from coast to coast when disaster strikes across the country.

"This year, as part of Budweiser’s Super Bowl commercial launch, we committed to expanding our emergency drinking water program," said Bill Bradley, vice president of Community Affairs at Anheuser-Busch. "Today, we’re pleased to be officially delivering on that promise, doubling our production capacity to help our fellow Americans in times of need."
Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing water and supplies for emergency relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross. Since 1988, Anheuser-Busch has provided more than 79 million cans of emergency water for disaster-stricken areas.
In 2017, the brewer provided almost three million cans of emergency drinking water to communities impacted by natural disasters, including in Texas, Florida, Georgia and California
