Lockdown Ends At Cartersville High School, No Credible Threat Found
A menacing social-media post Tuesday morning was enough to put Cartersville High School on a brief lockdown.
CARTERSVILLE — Authorities briefly locked down Cartersville High School Tuesday morning “out of an abundance of caution” after a social-media post put police on alert.
The Cartersville Police received notice of the threat — which included a photo of the sky — at about 10:45 a.m., according to a statement. Officers responded to secure the area but lifted the lockdown soon thereafter when “no evidence of a credible threat towards the high school” was found.
