Man Accused Of Child Abuse Charged In Cartersville

CARTERSVILLE, GA — A man is facing charges in connection with recent child abuse allegations, Cartersville Police said.

A mandated reporter on Sept. 1 alerted police to the suspected child abuse. Police did not fully detail the allegations.

After an investigation, police said they arrested Quisean Witherspoon on Tuesday and charged him with aggravated battery and first-degree cruelty to children. He is currently in custody at the Bartow County Jail, police said.
