Man Accused Of Grabbing Women's Behinds Arrested: Cartersville PD
A Floyd County man was arrested Saturday night after police say he groped several women's behinds at a Cartersville grocery store.
CARTERSVILLE, GA — A man accused of groping females’ behinds at a Cartersville grocery store Saturday night was arrested by authorities and charged with sexual battery.
According to Cartersville Police as reported by WBHF Community Radio, Shelton Dewayne Markham of Shannon was seen by witnesses grabbing several females’ buttocks at the Ingles on West Avenue.
Cartersville police were able to arrest him — but not before Markham began stabbing one of the witnesses who tried to detain him with his keys.

Markham remains in the Bartow County Jail as of Monday morning, charged with one felony count of sexual battery against a child under 16, one felony count of aggravated assault, and two misdemeanor counts of sexual battery.
