Cops: Man 'Dragged' Woman by Her Hair in Alleged Kidnapping
Bartow County authorities found the pair in an abandoned home off Highway 140 in Adairsville the day after a deadly tornado ravaged the area.

Bartow County authorities the night of a deadly tornado that ravaged the area arrested a man accused of dragging a woman by her hair in a physical dispute that led to an alleged kidnapping.
Sheriff Clark Millsap said Bartow County Sheriff's Office deputies and investigators Wednesday night responded to an Adairsville home off of Highway 140 near the Floyd County line to a reported domestic dispute.
Rhonald Dean Hyde, 44, of Adairsville, had allegedly been in a physical dispute with a 43-year-old woman. Witnesses said Hyde "dragged" her by her hair from a house and forced her into the woods.

Authorities used a K-9 to track the pair in the woods, but couldn't find them after several hours of searching in the dark.
Investigators Thursday resumed the search in daylight and, after searching for more than three hours, found Hyde and the woman at a nearby abandoned home.
Hyde was arrested and jailed on kidnapping and burglary charges, under the Family Violence Act. The alleged victim underwent a medical evaluation and returned to her family.
