Man Faces Burglary, Drug Charges After Robbing Concession Stand

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- A man has been arrested and faces burglary and drug charges after, police say, he robbed a concession stand at 51 Clearwater Street, ATCO Baseball Fields.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, employees of the Cartersville Parks and Recreation Department reported that sometime overnight, someone entered the concession stand and stole multiple items, including food, computers, cameras, and other items. Shortly after the report was taken, the Criminal Investigations Division identified Larry Gene Black as the suspect in the burglary. Warrants for Black were obtained that same day.

Several days later, Black was located by the Cartersville Police. CID conducted a search of Black’s residence and recovered the majority of the property stolen from the concession stand.

Black is charged with the following: burglary, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine by ingestion and possession of marijuana.
