Meth, Marijuana, Pills, Underage Drinking: Cartersville Crime

Meth, marijuana, pills and underage drinking were some crimes reported in Cartersville this week.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Cartersville Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the city. Arrests do not equal convictions.

According to police reports:

  • A 28-year-old woman was arrested on May 31 and charged with 4th offense driving while unlicensed.
  • A 49-year-old man was arrested on May 30 and charged with probation violation.
  • A 32-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were arrested on June 1. The man was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine by ingestion, possession and use of drug related objects and no insurance. The woman was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine by ingestion, and possession and use of drug related objects.
  • A 24-year-old man was arrested on May 28 and charged with for possession of marijuana less that 1 oz, possession of drug related objects, no insurance, for driving an un-registered vehicle, and driving without a tag. There was 1 burnt marijuana joint in the driver side
    door panel, 2 burnt suspected marijuana joints in the passenger side door panel and a brown marijuana grinder in the passenger seat. Inside the marijuana grinder was a small amount of marijuana. The suspected marijuana was weighed at Cartersville Police Department; which weighed at 0.8 grams.
  • A 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were arrested on May 30. The 24-year-old was charged with possession of schedule IV pill, possession of schedule IV pill, possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce, possession of marijuana by ingestion, drugs not in original container. The 20-year-old was charged with possession of schedule IV pill, possession of Schedule IV pill, possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce, possession of marijuana by ingestion, drugs not in original container, possession of alcohol by person under 21.
