What would have been a routine prostitution sting for the Smyrna Police Department resulted in the recovery of a stolen firearm and an assortment of illegal drugs at a Smyrna hotel.

According to an arrest warrant, Amanda Lee Causey, 28, of Rome was charged with theft of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and various drug charges.

The warrant also stated that Causey’s accomplice Eathan Kuykendall, 35, of Acworth, received three charges of possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances, giving false information to a police officer and felon in possession of a firearm.

Nine men have been arrested and charged under the RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act after an emissions testing crime ring was busted up, according to Todd Binnion, criminal investigator with the state Department of Natural Resources.

The crime ring moved from Fulton to Douglas County last winter when the All Pro Sales and Service shop opened up, located at 6310 Bankhead Highway, Binnion said.
