Cobb Sheriff's Deputy from Douglasville Charged with Sexual Assault - West Cobb Patch

A Cobb County deputy from Douglasville has been accused of sexually assaulting a female inmate, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

A warrant alleges Deputy Alvin Blake Sutherland, 51, made physical contact with an unamed female inmate at the Cobb jail on Jan. 11. Sutherland is charged with aggravated sodomy and other crimes. Find the full story on West Cobb Patch.

Man Shot Leaving Capitol Avenue Holiday Inn - East Atlanta Patch

Atlanta police are looking for two men who shot a man in an early morning robbery as the victim and his friend left a party.

The shooting, which occurred at about 3:40 a.m., left the 28-year-old victim hospitalized at Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition. East Atlanta Patch has more on this story.

Overnight House Fire in Grayson Possibly Result of Discarded Cigarette - Loganville-Grayson Patch

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services responded to an overnight fire in the 100 block of Little Barley Lane in Grayson.

According to a press release, crews were dispatched at 2:47 a.m. and arrived six minutes later to find the two-story wood frame house showing heavy smoke from the rear of the home and flames burning the exterior wall and chimney chase near the back deck. DragonCon Founder Back in Gwinnett Jail - Snellville Patch

Dragoncon founder Edward Kramer, 50, is in the Gwinnett County jail as of 4 p.m., Jan. 19, following charges of aggravated child molestation. 

According to the AJC, Kramer was first arrested in Gwinnett County on Aug. 25, 2000, and accused of sexually abusing three teen boys during a sleepover at his house. Read more on Snellville Patch.
