Peeping Tom, Woman Passed Out In Car DUI : Cartersville Crime

A woman was charged with DUI when police found her passed out in her car with a foot sticking out the door, police said.

CARTERSVILLE, GA -- The Cartersville Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the city. Arrests do not equal convictions.

  • A 58-year-old man was arrested and charged with criminal trespass-trespass on property, peeping tom and public drunk, April 29, at 72 Massell Drive in reference to a
    harassment report. According to the police report, the man was observed looking into an apartment, spying on a woman and yelling at the occupants inside the residence. He then walked inside the apartment through the front door un-invited. The man refused to leave and had to be physically removed from the residence by the complaints daughter. The woman took several pictures of looking into the windows yelling at them and making odd statements.
  • A 23-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of failure to appear, April 29.
  • A 59-year-old man was arrested and charged with probation violation, May 1.
  • A 41-year-old woman was arrested and charged with DUI - Driving Under the Influence of alcohol, open container, April 30. According to the police report, an officer reported to North Bartow Street and Tumlin Street about a driver was passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle parked in the middle of the road. The officer found a car parked in the middle of the roadway and a foot hanging outside the driver side window. Upon walking up to the vehicle, the officer found a woman passed out in the driver side seat with 1 leg hanging outside the vehicle and the rest of her curled up under the steering wheel. The officer found an open container of Hennessy in the passenger side floor board. The officer woke up the woman, who stated she was taking a nap, and appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. An initial tested positive at 0.233 blood alcohol.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with failure to appear, April 30.
