Police Arrest Cartersville Entering Auto Suspect
Two witnesses say the suspect was rummaging through a Toyota Tundra parked outside the Ingles grocery store early Saturday morning.

CARTERSVILLE, GA — A Cartersville man has been charged with entering auto after two men allegedly saw him going through the truck of an Ingles employee early Saturday morning.
A sheriff's deputy with the Bartow County Sheriff's Office was dispatched around 7:06 a.m. Sept. 15 to the store at 879 Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Cartersville. He arrived and spoke with the owner of a 2017 gray Toyota Tundra, who said one of his employees told him that a "man entered his truck and was rummaging through it," an incident report released by BCSO states.
That witness said he was at the store's fuel island when he noticed an unknown man entered his boss's pickup truck. The owner of the truck told the deputy nothing was missing from the vehicle.

According to the report, the witness and another man in the area approached the male, identified as Ronald Lawrence Thomas, and asked him what he was doing. The report states Thomas told the pair the truck was his, but altered his story to say he was looking for his vehicle.
While speaking with Thomas, the deputy noted he was holding a key fob belonging to a Chevrolet, but was going through a Toyota Tundra. Thomas, a Cartersville resident, was arrested and charged with entering auto and loitering and prowling. He was transported to the Bartow County Jail where he remains held with a $3,000 bond.
