- The Cartersville Board of Education has approved an $86.2 million budget for fiscal year 2024. The budget was passed in a unanimous vote during the board's meeting on Jun. 12. It reportedly was approved swiftly following a second public meeting held earlier this month. (Daily Tribune News)
- The 2023 Bartow County Farm Family of the Year award has been given to Mama J's Produce. Representative John Jerauld called the award a "tremendous honor." Mama J's Produce is the first hydroponic vegetable grower in history to win the county's top agricultural honor. (Daily Tribune News)
- Registration is now open for the second session of Junior Lifeguard Camp at Dellinger Park Pool. Classes will run daily, Jun. 27-30, from 12:00-5:00 p.m. Registration is $120 per camper and can be done through the MyCartersville app or online. (Cartersville Parks & Rec Department via Facebook)
