Schools Delay Accepting Out-Of-District Students, Kindergarteners
Cartersville City Schools have postponed when it will register kindergartners and accept applications from new out-of-district students.
CARTERSVILLE, GA —Because of coronavirus concerns, kindergarten registration and acceptance of new out-of-district student applications for Cartersville City Schools has been postponed. The new date has not yet been determined.
A statement from the Cartersville School System posted Wednesday said officials will monitor the progress of the coronavirus pandemic before picking a date. The Daily Tribune News reports that the situation will be reassessed at the beginning of May, according to a system spokesperson.
Until then, the school system has posted the out-of-district application on its website. Applicants are welcome to download it but asked not to submit it until a new date is announced.
