Nearly 200 county school buses will hit the road, and who knows how many parents, to get the kids to and from school.
American families drove 30 billion miles and made 6.5 billion vehicle trips to take their children to and from schools in 2009, which represented 10 to 14 percent of the traffic on the roads during the morning commute, according to the Safe Routes Partnership, a movement to create safe, convenient, and fun opportunities for children to bicycle and walk to and from schools.
Leave early and be prepared for delays as the school year kicks off with a lot traffic and traffic congestion!
