A town hall meeting next week led by Georgia Senate Democrats will focus on education in rural areas of the state.
Set for Tuesday, Sept. 10, the town hall is for residents of and those with interests in Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Walker and Whitfield counties.Â
State Sen. Jason Carter, D-Decatur, and State Sen. Freddie Powell Sims, D-Dawson, are hosting the meeting to discuss the educational challenges facing rural Georgians. Â
