Tree Falls On Moving Car, Kills 80-Year-Old Adairsville Man
A tree that fell on a vehicle in Adairsville left the driver with only minor injuries but killed the passenger.
BARTOW COUNTY, GA — An elderly Adairsville man died recently when a tree fell on the car he was riding in.
According to a statement from Bartow Fire and Emergency Services as reported by WBHF Community Radio, a tree fell on a vehicle just after 10 a.m. on April 14 near Towe Chapel Road and Hunters Ridge Road in Adairsville. When first responders arrived, they found the driver “walking around” and the passenger still trapped inside, according to WBHF.
The man who died was identified by authorities as Harold Maddox, 80, of Adairsville. The driver sustained only minor injuries.
