CARTERSVILLE, GA — Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, Nov. 11. The national holiday was established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military.
The holiday, originally Armistice Day, celebrated the end of World War I, but was eventually converted in the United States to celebrate all of the nation's veterans.
