CARTERSVILLE, GA — Good Friday is April 15 this year, followed by Easter on Sunday. Most government offices in Bartow County will be closed to honor Good Friday.
Good Friday is the Friday before Easter, and the day Christians annually observe the commemoration of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

- All Cartersville and Bartow County government offices — with the exception of public-safety services — will be closed Friday.
- All Bartow County libraries will be closed Friday.
- Bartow County Transit will not be operating on Friday.
- Cartersville trash pick-ups normally scheduled for Friday will be postponed until Monday.
- The Bartow County landfill on Allatoona Dam Road in Cartersville will be open Friday. However, all satellite locations will be closed.
- Post offices: USPS offices will be open on Good Friday and Easter. UPS and FedEx will also be open on Good Friday, but both will be closed on Easter.
