Woman Accused Of Vandalizing Adairsville Homes

Adairsville police say the woman allegedly shattered windows, ripped out satellite TV wires and stole a vehicle.

ADAIRSVILLE, GA — An Adairsville woman has been charged in connection to a string of incidents that left several homes in the city riddled with damage.

Officers were altered to various types of destruction inflicted upon these residences during the early morning hours of Saturday, Dec. 8. Several homes had their windows busted, and satellite TV wires had been pulled from exterior walls, the Adairsville Police Department said in a news release.

Other forms of damage include painted vehicles, broken flower pots and a rocking chair that was stolen and painted. The police department said a vehicle was also taken from one home and driven to another part of the city.

"It was later determined these criminal acts occurred in a small amount of time, and was committed by a sole suspect, according to people who had witnessed some of the acts," Adairsville police said.

Police identified the woman, Savelle Davette King, and tracked her down at a location in Gordon County. King was charged with three counts of theft by taking and two counts of criminal trespassing. She was booked into the Bartow County Jail on Dec. 8 and remains held with a $7,500 bond.
