Women's Brawl Turns Into She-Said-She-Said, Deputy Arrests Both
According to authorities, one woman hit the other with a baseball bat, and the other swung back with a shovel. Both are now in jail.
BARTOW COUNTY, GA — Two women authorities say were trying to beat each other — one with a bat, the other with a shovel — both were charged with aggravated assault Sunday.
Cheryl Ann Dickerson, 53, told a Bartow County Sheriff’s deputy that she was asleep on the couch at a residence near Acworth when Pamela Noland Talley, 50, of Mableton began hitting her in the chest with a baseball bat.
As evidence, Dickerson lifted her shirt, showing the deputy redness and a small cut with dried blood on it. She told the deputy she was unsure why Talley hit her, according to WBHF Community Radio, quoting the incident report.

Talley’s explanation was that “Dickerson got in her face and made her feel threatened,” the report continued. However, Talley said, she pushed Dickerson away with the bat but did not hit her with it “hard.”
Talley claimed that she and her partner tried to leave, but Dickerson tried to stop her, swinging a shovel at her, because police were on the way. According to the report, the shovel didn’t hit Talley.

Talley’s partner told the deputy that he saw Dickerson swing the shovel but didn’t see Talley hit Dickerson with a baseball bat.
The sheriff’s deputy responded by charging Dickerson and Talley with aggravated assault and hauling them both off to jail.
As of Thursday afternoon, both women are still in the Bartow County Detention Center, each with bond set at $5,000.
