$2000 Reward for Info on Recent Capitol View Shooting

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of these 2 individuals.

Atlanta Police along with CrimeStoppers is actively trying to find leads and information that will lead to the arrest of 2 men, who robbed and subsequently shot a man near Capitol View in the 500 block of Mellview Avenue.

According to APD, the two individuals were both armed and should still be considered dangerous. "The first subject with the braided hair (tall and slender face) approached the victim and produced a handgun. The second subject (short with low to medium cut hair) crossed the street and came up from behind, stood behind the victim with handgun pressed on back of his neck," said Kim Jones with Atlanta Police. Officer Jones says that the victim did not resist the demands made for his money and other items, but that "the second subject shot (the shorter of the two) said β€œbye-bye” as he shot the victim in the neck."

The shooting occurred outside of 570 Mellview Ave.
