Adamsville Rec Visitors Angered Over Recent Parking Lot Break-Ins

There have been a increase in the number of car break-ins within the Adamsville Recreation Center parking lot in recent months, which has caught the attention of WSB-TV news.

According to a WSB report, "Atlanta police said there have been 10 incidents at the center since June, including six car break-ins and four cases of vandalism."

The dance instructor for Total Dance/Dancical Productions, which holds classes in Adamsville Rec, told WSB that in the past Adamsville had a security guard but that she hasn't seen one for a while.

"How can you have a multimillion-dollar complex that lacks security for the people that are coming?" she asked.

Commissioner George Dusenbury said in a statement, "In response to the recent spate of car break-ins and vandalism, the Department of Parks and Recreation added security officers weekdays from 5-9 p.m.”
